Chances are, someone in
your family loves Blue's Clues, the popular Nickelodeon TV show in which
Steve Burns and his animated dog, Blue, guide preschoolers through fun,
problem-solving adventures. We talked with the 25-year-old Burns during
a video shoot for Blue's Treasure Hunt, a CD-ROM that debuts this month
from Humongous Entertainment.
Q: Now
that you have one of the top-rated kids' TV show, do people ask for your
autograph?
A: Kids don't
recognize me if I'm not wearing my green-striped shirt, but parents stop
me all the time.
Q: How much do you use technology?
A: I mainly use my computer for
word processing, but I also use e-mail and I like the Sony PlayStation.
Q: Have you ever played any of the
Blue's Clues games?
A: I have, but I find it too weird
to click on myself.
Q: Last year, a rumor swept the
Internet saying you had died. How do you feel about that?
A: There's a lot of cynicism in
this country. If something is too pleasant, people want to corrupt it.
Four-year-olds don't need to hear that kind of stuff.
